My desktop’s wireless card sucks a bit, and when I was still using Windows, it proved particularly unreliable. Specifically, it’s the MediaTek Wi-Fi 6E MT7922. It would drop Wi-Fi signal at… complete random, or at least on a pattern or trigger that appeared random to me. It was infuriating, to put it politely. To be more precise, it launched me into a frothing fucking rage every time I was trying to do something only for my wireless card to shrug and whine “Can’t.”
It is here that I say that this is one of the finest examples of a useful tech support comment I have ever seen. At the other side of that link is a shining, benevolent individual who has actually gone back to update the information they provided, and saved me and likely many others some substantial headache.
This issue subsided after I switched to Linux, after which I had only a slight issue with the Bluetooth that I fixed with some basic use of the bluetoothctl.
