Five lowly minions must obey the will of their master. They might be kobolds on the petty errand of a dragon, goblin scouts on the lookout for a new home for their chieftain, undead seeking an artifact for the foul lich who animated them, or cultists doing the bidding of their dark master to unknown ends.
They’re all li’l freaks.
Come up with a group of five - a list of suggestions for characteristics (neatly organized into a table) is below. If you want to use it, roll 2d6. The first d6 indicates the column. The second d6 indicates the row.
Freak Table | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
1 | Extremely old | Secretly illiterate | Violence isn’t the answer, but it’s always an answer | Loud at all times | Hydrophobic | Pyromaniac |
2 | More brave than is wise | Surprisingly clumsy | Saw a cosmic horror | Constant hedonistic urges | Afraid of the sun | Kleptomaniac |
3 | Dumb but thinks they’re smart | Compelled to parkour | Built different (wrong) | Afraid of the moon | Addicted to dancing | |
4 | Dumb and proud of it | Smells bad, even at a long distance | Obsessed with becoming famous | Afraid of books | Compulsive liar | |
5 | Very ill in some way | Very hyperactive | Always finding problems to fix | Afraid of furniture | Obsessed with food | |
6 | Convinced they’re the chosen one | Convinced they’re always the center of a prank | Convinced they are a powerful sorcerer | Convinced they are a great, misunderstood artist | Convinced they’re made of wood | Convinced they’re a ghost |
Roll a d6 - whichever the die lands on determines which li’l freak completes the task, a five lets you choose
