Matches
- Goal is to put on a Show - get the crowd excited, but make sure you still win your match
- Turn-based, with timing (Clair Obscur, Paper Mario, Super Mario RPG)
- Takes place in a ring, ideally a grid-based system (Into the Breach)
- Pulling punches deals less damage, but improves opponent’s relationship
- Wrestling “stiff” angers the opponent but deals more damage
- “Selling” hits makes you take less damage
- “No-selling” makes you take more damage, but makes the crowd pop
- Build up meter to do Spots
- Occasional tag team matches
- Different objectives (ladder match to Claim the Case)
Management
- Build up reputation to do face/heel turns
- Build relationships with other wrestlers
- Change your gimmick for new abilities/moves
- Train for next match
- Choose between next opponents, get ready for promos
